Property It is likely that Estate Agents out number even Employment Agencies in the town! Property in Crawley is BIG BUSINESS! House prices are up well over 100% on 10 years ago (even before the ‘slump’). Not a month goes by without a flyer from one agency or another lands on my doormat telling me they have a string of potential buyers just itching to buy my place! Spurious ‘For Sale’ signs appear over night in places where there is no property for sale. There are 1000’s upon 1000’s of square metres of office space available to rent or buy and more being built even as I write. It is just waiting for you to employ dozens of temps or cheap, unskilled labour. With Crawley property prices going ever upward if you use slow builders the value of the new building will certainly exceed the development costs without even adding on a decent profit! You don’t want offices? You need warehouse space? No worries we have spare capacity in abundance! I’m just surprised that nobody has rented a load of it to supply secure, covered parking facilities for the airport. Can I interest you in an empty shop? We have more than a few! With the town council ever happy to receive assistance from major retailers in order to meet its burgeoning needs and high rents, many small business are going to the wall, moving out or not taking up the renewed lease options. Even council owned properties are empty, some for many years! C & A used to occupy a prime site on two floors just outside The County Mall - they upped sticks and went a little while ago. There are many ‘‘Everything’s a £1” shops with short leases in what used to be considered prime sites stocked from bulk, low cost pallets from advertisers in ‘Trader’ magazine. We have everything in Crawley to meet your property needs! . |
